For convenience of explanation, I will make a reservation through PC Kakao Talk, but I think the method on the mobile phone is similar. Reserve a car inspection at the Transportation Safety Authority Cyber Inspection Center
Let’s start booking a car inspection by selecting the inspection reservation item on the Cyber Inspection Center website. The procedure and method will be explained in the following order.

1. Selection of inspection vehicle
Depending on the vehicle type for which you wish to reserve an inspection, it is divided into automobile inspection, two-wheeled vehicle inspection, large bus inspection, and other inspections. Here, we would like to explain based on general vehicle inspection.

Select a car inspection and click the ‘Schedule a car inspection’ button at the bottom.
2. Enter reservation information and agree to terms and conditions
This is the screen for entering reservation information and agreeing to the terms and conditions. To search for a vehicle to be inspected, enter your vehicle registration number and the first 6 digits of your resident number and click Search Vehicle.

Press the ‘Vehicle Inquiry’ button to open a pop-up window that says “Inspection reservation is possible.” Press the ‘Continue’ button.

When you click the Continue button, the screen changes to ‘inspection information is viewed and reservation information can be entered. Please check whether the inspection information is suitable for your vehicle, such as comprehensive inspection, load inspection (kd-147), etc., and enter the mobile phone number of the person making the reservation.

Please check ‘I agree to all information on collection and use of personal information’ in the information usage and SMS reception agreement section, and then click the ‘Next’ button.

3. Select Inspection Station/Date
The third step is to select a vehicle inspection appointment date/inspection station. The currently selectable dates are displayed in blue. In my case, I have to complete the inspection within the next Monday and Tuesday.

Let’s click Monday. It automatically searches past visited/address inspection stations on the day of the week. I will click on the Regional Inspection Stations tab screen to select a convenient laboratory for my inspection.

If you select one of the auto inspection stations that are automatically searched for the desired reservation date, the available reservation time and number of available reservations are displayed in the reservation time selection item.

Fortunately, in my case, I was able to choose because there was only one reservation available on Monday. You can select from the list of reservation times like this, or click the selectable time zone in blue by clicking the calendar selection button.

The car inspection station, reservation date and time are now selected. The following pop-up window informs you of the reservation date and time once again, but do not forget that the reservation is completed only after payment is made.

4. Car inspection payment
After confirming the reservation information once again on the payment screen, check the inspection information and inspection fee. If you are eligible for a fee reduction, please check the ‘Eligibility Inquiry’ and then proceed with payment by credit card, etc.
In my case, I was able to simply complete the payment by clicking on my credit card (simple payment). If you have not yet used the simple payment method, you can use a credit card (general payment) or a virtual account (deposit without a bankbook).
5. Completed car inspection reservation
Please note that car inspection reservations do not end with selecting an inspection station and inspection date and time, but only when payment is made to complete the inspection reservation.

You can fill out the questionnaire online in advance by clicking the ‘Create questionnaire’ button on the reservation completion screen that you will see after completing the car inspection reservation.

On the questionnaire creation screen, it is first checked whether there is a history of engine replacement, light equipment repair, tire pressure check, visit inspection, recall, etc.

So far, we have checked the online reservation method and procedure for car inspections on the website of the Cyber Inspection Center of the Transportation Safety Authority. After receiving the Kakao Talk notification, I checked the available dates and times with two days left before the reservation period. Almost all reservations were closed, so I was barely able to reserve one remaining time slot.
